A few years ago, Royal Oaks’ management team noticed that market studies both locally and nationwide were showing there aren’t enough Life Plan Communities to serve the Baby Boomers who are and will be searching for upscale living and the security of lifecare in Arizona. In another example of Royal Oaks’ forward-thinking mindset, the organization purchased acreage adjacent to our current campus and began designing what we view as the optimal community. In 2018, we were excited to announce Inspirata Pointe at Royal Oaks, and now, we’re ready to share more information.
Open floor plans. Nine-foot ceilings. Large terraces. Upscale cabinetry, quartz, and appliances. Elevated dining. Down-home pub. Casual restaurant. Bocce ball courts. Classrooms. Beautifully landscaped courtyards with water features. A total of 156 deluxe villas and apartments will be built, along with new amenities to augment what residents at Royal Oaks currently enjoy. You can choose from 15 floor plans
The first residences that will be available at Inspirata Pointe will be The Villas, which consist of two buildings with eight residences per building. There are four different residence styles to choose from, ranging in size from 1,472 to 1,861 square feet. Every residence will have a private garage that will accommodate a car and a golf cart.
Right across the small road from The Villas will be the main hub of the community – a one-story building that combines dining, classrooms, and social spaces. You’ll enter through a lemon grove, setting the mood for a true culinary experience at the elevated dining restaurant. If you’re feeling something less formal, you’ll also find a casual restaurant and—everyone’s favorite place—a sports bar. All dining venues have outdoor space to enjoy Arizona’s year-round ambiance.
The other 140 residences will be found in the three and four-story apartment buildings, featuring 11 different residence sizes and styles.
The one bedroom apartments are all very roomy: the Bisbee is 855 sq, ft., perfect for an active single. The Carefree is 1050 sq. ft. and has a den and an extra half bath. The Cottonwood is slightly larger at 1080, also with a den and half bath. The Jerome and Flagstaff will be our smallest 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom residences, still generous at 1208 and 1250 sq. ft. A jump in size is the Kingman (1368 sq. ft.) and Tucson (1390 sq. ft.) where a den is added to augment the 2 bedrooms. An option in the Pinetop (1467 sq. ft.) and San Luis (1503 sq. ft.) residences is to choose a large great room or split the generous space between a great room and den. The Sierra Vista has not only 2 bedrooms and a den but also has 2.5 baths, as does the Marana. Underground parking for cars and golf carts will serve the apartment buildings.
Residents at Inspirata Pointe will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools at the current campus (located just a 3-minute walk from Inspirata Pointe and connected with walking paths and roadways), a state-of-the-art fitness studio with complimentary classes, two other restaurants, an additional bar/lounge, and a life enrichment center complete with art studio, auditorium, and game rooms. The location also befits those to desire to take advantage of everything offered at the Sun City Recreation Centers, which offer a myriad of activities from bowling and golf to swimming and crafts. With seven recreation centers, eight golf courses and more than 120 chartered clubs, there’s something for everyone retiring in Sun City.
